@tinkergelle

I also passed the exam given last June 2010. Do you have your schedule for the panel interview already?

Specializes in SICU, Burn Unit, PACU, CCU.
hello gambutrol.. how did u become a staff nurse in PGH? after ur ER volunteer?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was busy settling in a new place. How you asked? I applied like everybody else. I was batch 2006. I took the exam, NPE, panel interview, final interview, and the physical/medical exam. I applied during my volunteer days. I didn't want to have a vacant time in my nursing career that's why I was constantly applying and seeking for new trainings and seminars that are free.

I know that it is hard for you guys. I experienced the same thing while I was waiting to be employed. I waited for 8-9 months for PGH to hire me and I know that the hiring process now is way longer compared to when I was employed.

Just pray and be patient! I know it is hard financially. That's the reason why I worked at a local hospital near where I live before I worked in PGH. I even worked as a Korean English instructor! hehe.. that's life! I guess you have to wait patiently and persevere.
