Hello Schiz!
I applied at a recruitment agency in Paranaque called OMANFIL and they told me that there will be an exam on Saturday for applicants like me who would like to go to OMAN to work as a nurse. The recruiter also told me that this exam is not only a qualifying exam but also the licensure exam for OMAN. Is there just one type of exam for nurses who would like to go there to work?
So, it's more of MS? Which MS topic do I need to concentrate on? Thank you.

I passed the exam and the interview this march for moh oman. The exam depends on your area of specialization. Its quite difficult. I got the minimum passing grade and the agency told us that were 32 out of 620 applicants for ER. I took the ER exam and it consist of medical, trauma cases, abg interpretation, ecg, acls and gcs..

Hello Mark,
I think were both on the same batch of those who took the exam. I took it in San Beda last June 2010. And by Nov, my working visa already came. Now Im already more than 1 year here in Oman.
There are some things everybody should know about Oman Health Facilities
If your posted in Muscat Good for you because most likely you will be posted in a hospital.
But if not, chances are you will be sent to what they call interior. It is their version of
Health Centers in far away places. It may be in the desert or mountain.
Salary wise its better than the Phil because you will be earning more than 40 or 50k. tax free.
And Some of my friends are telling me its better than Saudi because its more open.
Sir.Im a RN EMT. I applied as an ER nurse but During my interview, the employer told me that they will be deploying me to their EMS. Hows the working condition for EMS there? And is it true that after you came there, the offer will be doubled??

if you want to pursue your nursing career then you need to take the licensure exam for nurses in Oman. Visit the MOH office located in Al Khuwair, Muscat and ask for the details regarding the exams. Goodluck...
Im not very much familiar with EMTs here in Oman. And ihavent seen any other nationality working as such. Ionly see and talk to them during endorsements in A&E.
But as afar as medical field is concerned work here is pretty much the same only that the salary is higher. I heard salary can reach up to 60-70k per month in peso.
For me I adviseyou to take upnursing here in Oman.
