Hi, good day...just to ask if applying in Livya(sorry, letter v n tagalog is out of order in our keyvoard so i just using "v" thanks).is there any age limit?up to what age please?i'm a nurse n worked vefore in saudi aravia for quiet a long time...hope you have time to answer my querry thanks a lot n more power

Hi remiaraq.

With regards to your question, Let me just answer you categorically. Our employer (MOH) is the one who can decide whether they will accept applicants who are aged 40 or 50+. It's within their discretion whose applicant will get the pot. What I have noticed and observed though is that there were nurses who was offered a job last FEB-march that are aged 40-50. I have spoke to some of them but I never thought of asking their age, ( mainly because they might feel offended ). What you can do though is to inquire from recruitment agencies on what are the preferences of the employer. And I'm sure they will be able to help you out. Seems to me nothing is wrong with how old you are as long as you want to serve people who needs help especially the kind of profession we have. Keep on tryin' GBU

Hi rentrix_yan,

May I know what month did you apply? And did your agency advise you to take PDOS already? I also applied for MOH tripoli last May and when I called my agency, they told me that there's no update yet regarding my application. They can't give me a definite date as to when will be our departure due to the ongoing election in Libya.

Hi chione03

Thanks for asking, I would love to answer that. Here is my story. Me and my fiancee sign our initial contract last march(This is after the interview). After 3 weeks (2nd week of april), we have completed all of our requirements such as red ribbon (prc certificate, employer cert and medical), PDOS and signed the POEA contract (which is the contract given by our Employer thru Libya Consular office). By the way, we were informed by Miss Joy that we might be the first batch to be deployed and we just have to wait patiently for our visa and ticket. Then after a month and 2 weeks, (last week of May) we were informed that the visa of selected Feb-March nurses have arrived. We were about 700+ and just to let you know, visa stamping will just be done after ticket arrives. Month of June came and some few tickets arrived. Filsino told us that the employer will randomly select employees from FEB-MARCH applicant for ticket releasing. If I am not mistaken, that's 40+11+20+21, a total of 91 tickets as of today(however, ask Filsino for more accurate info about the figures). To wrap this up, there is really no definite date and time. It's a test of patience.

Thanks rentrix_yan for your answer. BTW, I'm not with Filsino. I'm just wondering why some applicants from Filsino have their visas and tickets already while us from concorde aren't getting any updates(as in no visas nor tickets). It's really a test of patience. I guess we can't do anything but to patiently wait, wait and wait. Thanks for the info. God bless.

hello!

can anyone of you answer my query?thank you Godbless

@iAmMiguelhenry

While waiting for the reply of those who have experience working in Libya, try reading the previous posts. They're very informative and the answers to some of your queries are there.

With your experience, I think you have better opportunities in other countries. But if you want to work in Libya, better apply as CI because the salary is way way higher the salary of a staff nurse. I think with your experience, you are qualified for CI position.

hi iammiguelhenry.

i understand how you feel about your application with reference to your experience and indeed you are qualified. i agree with what chione03 inform you. the answers to some of your question can be found from the previous post. seriously, i have to do a quick research on that. and if i'll be lucky to have a response from my new friends (nurses who presently work in libya) i have met in filsino on my fb, then i'd be delighted to answer your queries. also, my dad used to work in libya before the civil war. he taught libyan nursing student how to speak in english so my pop might be a great help. =)

by the way, chione03 you're welcome.

hi im from concorde too....one of our batch mates said ( as he was called by concrode the other day) that there are still no new updates regarding our visas and tickets. But the secretary told him, that this year will be the possible yr to fly to Libya and it wont take us the following yr for deployment.

i am hoping it soon to arrive ( visa & ticket). and im thinking what if our medical is past overdue(6mos)?? Will they shoulder the medical exam the next time around?

Fingers and toes crossed for this long wait.....

thank you chione03 rentrix_yan for your reply.i'm so frustrated already that is why i applied in Libya for grater opportunities if possible for my CI work experience and Hospital. at rentrix_yan if your friend in FB( from libya) would respond on my query pls, that would be a great help for me and everyone who is reading this blogs. Thank you everyone let us just Hope and pray for God has its reason for us.Godbless
