I didn't know that there's already a training for phlebotomy. I think it will be useful. Me even if I don't have a formal training, I manage to learn by myself. If you're in a government hospital, sometimes nurses must know how to extract blood because med tech were busy. it is useful and will add to your skills. However, in Philippine nurses law, I'm not sure if this procedure is at a scope of practice of a nurse. So be careful and follow your institution's policy regarding this.

hi lady_abundant where did you trained as phlebotomist??? my employer is asking me a relevant cert to work as phleb in dubai... actually im a staff phlebtomist here in are tertiary hospital... i have a cert that im a staff phleb. but i don't have a any certificate that im a certified phlebotomist, cause i don't know what institution here in the phil offering the training??? hope you can help me thank you...

Hi guys... I took up my training as nurse phlebotomist here in Davao. The fee was 2,500 pesos in "Institute for Nursing Enrichment Training Center". We were given a certificate for Phlebotomy course for healthcare providers and Basic Arterial Blood Extraction Course. Also, you will be given a ID for phlebotomy, after 2yrs of expiration we can go on for Brachial and Femoral artery course. I was satisfied by the training they provided to us, not only you will learn how to extract blood also, they teach safety precautions and infection. On our return demonstration, we performed the venipuncture, fingerpricking and ABG extraction.

Hi pwu conduct phlebotomy training. But, i am telling you they discourage you if you ask them about the training. They also ask your course so, if you tell them that you are a nurse they reject you.. I dont know why..

But, try to to call them everytime who knows? They might give you an opportunity..
