Will putting off my registration fee payment affect my eligibility for registration?

I took the CPRNE in September, got news that I passed it in October, but I have been waiting until January to pay my registration fee. I am doing this because a few RPNs have told me that you have to pay your fee in January regardless of when you paid during the previous year (for example - if you paid in November, it would expire in December, so you'd have to pay again in January to cover the rest of the year). Will waiting until January affect my eligibility for registration? Will they take away my spot, will I have to re-write the exam, etc?

You are in Ontario. Check with CNO and get the answer from them.

Once you've passed CPNRE nobody "can take it away". Your pass is a pass.

Employers may question your reluctance to register and proceed to look for employment.

Registration fees are due by December 31st. Not January.

I know a lot of people in previous years who wrote in September and chose to wait and just pay at the end of the year in instead of paying twice.

I paid in ON and paid for AB but that was because I was moving for a job. Otherwise, I would have waited until the end of December.
