Why the Angel gets to sit on the top of the christmas tree

Many, many years ago Santa was busy getting ready for the big day when he would travel all over the world, delivering toys to all the good girls and boys.

This particular year, however, Santa was experiencing some problems. Work was behind schedule, the elves were nearing the end of their contract and threatening to strike and there was a case of hoof and mouth disease making its way through the reindeer herd.

Santa had to work night and day to keep up and, needless to say, was a bit grumpier than usual, often becoming short with Mrs. Claus.

One day Santa was busy as usual, working away in the workshop. Mrs. Claus said, "Santa, take a break, come in the house and I'll make us some tea." "Fine!" barked Santa. After Santa came into the house Mrs. Claus said, "Sit down in your favorite chair and I'll bring the tea. Everything is going to be fine. You'll see!" Santa only growled.

As she entered the den, Mrs. Claus tripped over a truck that one of the elves had left on the floor. She spilled the hot tea all over Santa! He was pissed!!!!!

At about this time a tiny "Knock, Knock, Knock" came from the door. "I'll get it!!!" roared Santa. He went to the door, snatched it open and there stood a tiny little angel holding a beautiful Christmas tree. "Hi, Santa!" the angel chirped. "I have your Christmas tree. Where would you like me to stick it?"

And that is why the angel always gets to sit on top of the Christmas tree.

"A fairy's life is full of fun,

Up where the tinsel glitters,

With a fairy wand in one hand,

And a pine tree up her knickers!"
