Go crazy applying and PERSEVERE

Everyone is having a hard time. Keep on trucking and applying. DO NOT GIVE UP OR GET DISCOURAGED! YOU CAN DO THIS. PERSEVERE!

There are jobs to be had if you are looking for "work" not "particular work"- meaning home health, nursing homes, rehab centers, state prison etc. Look everywhere- they are there. If you are only looking for hospital or certain areas, then good luck. Try recruiters, try per diem or contingent with an agency. They are helpful if you are trying to get into a hospital too because they will get you there and you can prove your worth rather than sitting and hoping your resume gets pulled from the 10,000 others. This search will be tough until the boomers retire.

I thought that I replied to you already but apparently my phone never posted my comment. I cannot hire you or offer you insight as I am still looking for a job myself but I did want to wish you luck and tell you not to give up. Something will come along for you. You just have to keep trying and keep believing.

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I made a joke initially, but sometimes it truly is work to remain upbeat after 50 plus applications.

I'm in the exact same boat as you are... and I, too, am incredibly frustrated. I've applied for almost 70 jobs and have gotten no call backs. Meanwhile, many of my classmates have gotten really good jobs in hospitals. It makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong... In my heart I know that I should probably apply for something other than just hospital jobs, but there's a little voice inside me that keeps telling me not to give up on what I really want to do, which is work as a critical care nurse in a hospital. Obviously, I won't be hired onto those units as a new grad, but I feel like I need to set myself up for that in the best possible way, which to me means working in a hospital setting. Maybe I just need to be more patient and get any RN job that I can get to gain more experience. *Sigh* Sorry for the rambling, but I totally know how you feel and agree that it is incredibly hard to remain upbeat. But, that's what I'm going to try to do anyway. Really, something WILL come along eventually. It will. IT WILL!!
