Would you press criminal charges if one of your students took money from your wallet? The student has been expelled from the program but has not returned the money  If I press charges theres a chance I could get my money back and hopefully she would be prevented from applying to another nursing school... Just looking for opinions. Thanks!

If someone steal from my wallet, I would press charges. Its a crime and lesson need to be taught. Do this school do criminal background checks? It wouldnt matter to me if it is the persons first offense because if this person was not caught, will this person continue to still not just from you but everyone else. It needs to be stopped here and now.

Think about it like this...if you'll steal, you'll lie...if you'll lie, you'll falsify your charts. Is that a reach? Hmmmmm.

Would you press charges if the individual were not in nursing school? I say go ahead.

Why have you waited? Did you at least file a police report? I'd be calling the police as soon as the theft were discovered. And yes, I would file charges.

By all means I would press charges. This is not the type of person we want out there representing our profession. Chances are this person would also steal from co-workers and patients too!

I would file charges. These are people who want to be a nurse, I don't want those type of people in nursing. Since they are in college, they are an adult and know right from wrong. Stealing is wrong...what else might they do?

Truth is I would want my money back.
