Thinking of pursuing a Nursing Career in the US.Any advice?

Nurses Career Support

Published

I graduated and became an RN in the Philippines 10 years ago.. i kind of tossed that dream of becoming a USRN because there was just not enough opportunities for me in my country and fast forward five years later I started working here in Kuwait as a Dental Nurse, which in no way I have any clue I would end up here, but I thank God because the salary is good and the job is quite easy. But now, hearing about the need for nurses in the US makes me think of pursuing that dream again. I don't know where to begin though. I have relatives in Nevada, but I'm not sure if they have a high demand for nurses there.

Thank u in advance for your responses!

God bless you all!

Not sure where you heard the need for nurses but not always true. Current waiting time for EB3 for someone from the Philippines is 5 years. Also the BON may have issues if you haven't nursed in a long time unless they accept your dental nursing

Thank you for your honest reply, I would keep in mind this option and will look into other opportunities as well. God bless!
