Ok, i need some advice on my resume.

in the past 7 years i have gotten my LVN and RN and have had 4 different jobs, when I put all of this on my resume with job description details it ends up being about 2 pages plus one last page for references. Is that too much? I should be including a brief description of job duties and dates of employment right?

Thanks

It should be one page tops... the second page just references... Don't include a brief description of your job. Break it down to where it's simple and easy to read.

It is common to have a two page resume now just as long as what you have listed is relevant to the positions you are applying for. It is better to have a professional, two page resume that details how qualified you are than to leave experience off of it or try to get a lot of info onto one page. Google resumes, specifically nursing resumes, and read current resume advice and look at some examples.

For four jobs you should only have 1 page. The person reading your resume is interested in a brief snapshot. 2 pages takes away from that and there's always the possibility the second page could be lost in the shuffle when printed out for the employer.

Best keep it simple. one page (this was the mentality when I was a writing tutor in college). The mere title of our positions combined with the area is self explanatory of job duties. Take advantage of that.

wondering why you can't get hired or promoted: resume + interview hints!

2 pages + 1 page refrences acceptable. highlight skills learned /perfected at each position along with showing increasing responsibility.

hope this advice helps.

Page limit isnt as big of an issue seeing as most of the viewing is electronic these days. I have seen some people put their resume in size 8 font to fit it on one page, and I don't even read their resumes I just reject them. You don't need super long explanations of your past postions.
