PLEASE HELP!!! Looking for a new grad RN job!

I graduated with my BSN in May, and passed my boards. Now I am having a really difficult time finding a job. I worked for about 4 years as a CNA in one organization in Wisconsin at the nursing home and the med/surg floor of the hospital while in nursing school. They did not have any RN jobs when I graduated.

So I have been looking for a RN job. I would like to start in the hospital setting, eventually critical care or emergency. I loved working in the hospital as an aid. I am willing to move anywhere in the country to work. My license is in Wisconsin. I think it is easy to work in any of the 25 states in the Nurse Licensure Compact.

I have sent out many applications, and had two interviews. I was told by one of the managers at the beginning of the interview that I was going against two experienced nurses, so my chances of getting the job was slim. How am I supposed to gain experience if I cannot get a job in the first place? Does anyone know of hospitals hiring new grads? Thanks for listening to me poor out my frustration!!

I'm not sure how to help, but just wanted to let you know that many new grads everywhere in the U.S. are experiencing the same thing, and some have been searching since last year. Check out this thread below. If you do a search on this site, there are many others about new grads having difficulty getting jobs. It seems to be mainly due to the economy right now.
