Nurses Career Support

Hello I have a few questions, do you need to be a registered Nurse to open a nursing agency to work in facilities and have LPN and CNA? Also what are the steps I want to get started with research and contracts etc but don't know where to start any advice or instruction and as far as a name how do you register one.

There are many staffing agencies owned and operated by non-nurses. However, you will need to have a knowledgeable nurse at the helm with responsibility for managing clinical competency & scope of practice for your employees. This individual can be an employee also.

Check with your local Small Business Association for how-to's and assistance. They usually have a lot of resources you can tap into.

You really do need to scope out your options with professional help. First thing I always think of when I read these types of requests is to ask if the respondent did a needs analysis search. That is why would you want to open a fledgling business if there are 200 other ones in your immediate area.

That's why you need professional guidance - legal, financial, nursing (for this), etc.

Good luck.
