Nurses Career Support

Published

I am currently active duty military and would love to enter the nursing field as an LPN when I seperate. I am stationed in OKC, OK but I will be moving back to the Nashville TN area upon seperation. Problem is I am finding it extremely difficult to locate any schools that offer LPN programs. I know that there has to be a school around Nashville somewhere, I just cannot find any information online. I want to ultimately pursue a BSN, but would like to get started with an LPN licensure.

If anyone has any ino they can share, and or suggestions for me about entering the nursing profession please respond to this thread or send me an e-mail(my address should be visible).

I have had the basic first aid cousres and CPR offered though the military, I think being able to help people through nursing would be a great experience that I look forward to getting involved with, just need some help getting started with the first baby steps.

Thank you in advance for your attention and response(s).

LPN/RN programs are regulated by some state-government office (in CA it is the department of Consumer Affairs). Find out which agency in the state you are interested in issues and governs LPN/RN licences, they should be able to provide you with the location(s) of accredited schools.

Thanks for the info. If anyone already knows of any schools around the Mid-TN area offering LPN programs please leave a response also, thanks again.
