LPN to RN. LTC experience harmful when seeking hospital jobs?

Currently I'm a LPN student, hoping to start an LPN-RN program when I finish LPN school. I really want to work at a hospital and not a LTC facility when I finish my RN program. Reading these discussions, I come to realize that LPN's are usually hired at LTC facilities, not hospitals. If I get a job at a LTC after I finish LPN school, will this hurt my chances of working in a hospital? My thinking is- Hospital Interview "well you have experience working at a LTC facility, not a hospital, so I think you should go in that direction." So will it be better to hold off employment until I finish nursing school unless its a hospital job? Silly questions, but just wondering.

Its not harmful I guess, if you dont stay too long in an LTC.. otherwise they will advise you to have a some refresher course...Im presently working in an LTC rightnow and is trying to transition to Acute,, its not that they dont want u bcuz of ur LTC experience but rather due to u having no acute experience.
