I am a new graduate RN here in Ca, very tough to find a job right now. If you were going to get endorsed in another

state which one would it be. Wheres the easier markets nowadays. Thanks in advanced

Sorry, I am totally new to this. I have a NY state RN license and am having difficulties finding a job here. I am planning to endorse my license to CA since my family is there. Once my CA license gets endorse, do I still get the privilege to apply to jobs in both states since I am still in NY? I don't really understand the idea of "endorsement".

There is a lot of confusion about licensure issues/procedures. When we speak of "endorsing" a license to another state, if has nothing to do with transferring a license (as many people seem to think). You are applying for a new license in the new state, and will still have your previous license (until its expiration date, and you can choose at that time to renew it or let it lapse). You can maintain as many different state licenses as you are willing to pay for.

thank you for responding and clarifying it for me!!!

I don't have any specific info on areas with greater need for nurses, but you can always job-hunt first and then apply for licensure ... Have you been looking for areas with greater numbers of Nursing Jobs available?
