How do you look for a job out of state (LVN)?

Okay, I'm in CA and it seems the LVN jobs dried up overnight so I think I'm going to have to relocate. My question is, how do you go about this? I have enough money to pay for relocation costs but not enough to just up and move without a job lined up. Are there any agencies that can place you somewhere? I should add that I'm a new grad (will take NCLEX on April 1st).

I am an LVN who moved from California to Texas back in 2005. At the time I moved, I had just completed an LVN program and had no license or nursing experience.

Since you are a new grad with no working experience as an LVN, I doubt you'd find an agency who'd be willing to take you. Hiring managers in other states would be more open to hiring you if you already had a license in their state.

Narrow your options down to 2 or 3 states, endorse your CA license into these states, and then start emailing resumes.
