Excelsior College Clinical Help

Nurses Career Support

Published

I am currently taking my ADN by distance learning and need some advice. In the next 6 months I will be doing my clinicals for Excelsior College (New York Regency) and would like some advice on the best clinical site to go too. Its a spendy 2 1/2 days and I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on place that are good or those that should be avoided like the plague.

I have been an LVN for 21 years and have a vague understanding concerning patient care and medication protocols. So I won't embarass myself or others with faux pas. But I am nervous in regards to the Regency Clinical and would appreciate any advice that you folks can share.

Thanks

Hi, I was an LPN for 26 years and at the age of 46 got my RN through Excelsior. I failed the CPNE the first time and was devastated. Breezed through it the second time. I've got help for you. E-mail me privately

Hello Shy: Im a EC graduate :balloons: I did my CPNE in Atlanta at SRMC the site was excellent. The best advice that can be given and that is at any of the sites is to go prepared knowing your CE's. The second advice I can give is to stay focused and have faith in your abilities. Best wishes when you do take the CPNE.

Rnn2003,

Thank you for your kind reply, I have been wondering about where the best place to take CPNE. I live in Michigan against my better judgement but it pays the bills until I receive my Rn then its off to sunny florida and a life of sun and sand. I have never been to Atlanta so would be interesting to see. I thank you again.
