Hi, I'm new to this site and have a few questions. First, I am currently a navy corpsman and am going to school at night to get all my general education credits out of the way. I'm trying to get my LPN/LVN license and don't know if I am going about it the right way. I just found out that corpsman can challenge the state of California for LVN. how do you start that process? Do you have to live in California to be considered? If anyone has anymore information on this subject or other programs that navy hospital corpsman qualify for, please let me know. Thank you.

Corpsmen who are California residents are allowed to challenge the boards and become an LVN if they have the necessary experience in the medical field. You must live in California, and the LVN license will be restricted to California. You cannot endorse the license into any other state.
