Alabama RN hospital vs. office

Nurses Career Support

Published

Hello I am going to be a new graduate RN this summer (BSN) I absolutely loved NICU its the only place I can really see myself. I do not like floor nursing at all, I currently own my own online business and I still want to be able to do that. I love people and caring for them but I just can't see myself doing floor nursing. I had a breast augmentation right before nursing school and absolutely fell in love with plastic surgery however I know these types of jobs are hard to come by... I want a 8-5 job M-F that will allow me to run my online business. As far as the pay difference newly RN-BSN hospital based nurses start out around $22-23/hr in mobile, AL. Im not sure of the doctors office pay and curious if anybody has any idea? The pay scale isn't a big concern for me just curious on how much of a dollar a hour difference it is... Would it be a bad idea going straight into a doctors office as a new RN?
