1. Just out of Curiosity, has anyone ever gone to, or been a part of a Unitarian Universalist church? I find it very difficult to relate to members of the methodist churches where I grew up. I don't really consider myself a Christian, but I feel strongly about the need for spirituality and community connections. I read a lot about secular humanism and i feel like thats the closest I've ever come to a label for myself. I heard these churches are more broad in belief, not completely subscribing to a Christian dogma, and welcoming to any types of faith. I haven't gone to one yet, because I'm trying to talk a friend into going with me, and the nearest one is fifty miles away. Just wondering what others experience was. Thank you.

While I am now Catholic I attwnded Unitarian church and summer camps growing up. They definately have a broader view of religion worship and everything else that traditional churches like Catholic Methodist Lutheran etc twnd to have fairly rigid views.
Attend a few services, feel it out. I honestly had never met a more accepting empowering group of people.

Love the UU church. I am an atheist and attend. Everyone knows and it doesn't bother anyone. In fact several members are atheists or secular humanist I love that I leave thinking about ways to improve my life that I can relate to. Even if it is a bit of a far drive, I hope you go and check it out a few times.

Thanks. I will check them out. I need something to fill me up. I give to my family, my school, my job, my pets...so much that there doesn't seem to be anything left at times. I am hoping that this gives me some peace and extra energy throughout the weeks to come.
