After three years of legal wrangling with the Chicago area's largest healthcare system, medical residents at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital have won the right to belong to a union. A union representative says that the ruling could assist medical residents interested in forming a union to improve pay, benefits and working conditions at private hospitals nationwide.

I work at an advocate hospital and a few months back all employees were sent a letter about how advocate was against unions for employees own good and how unions are bad.

Ah yes, one of MANY reasons I no longer work for LGH...
