I received the news that my licence was suspended while getting ready for work. It was the most horrifying phone call ever. What the hell do I do now?

Yes, it is from a positive etg back in October. I havn't received their certtified letter yet. They called and notified my job before even letting me know. I was so embarrassed I didn't know what to say.

That blows. Giving you the courtesy of a heads up would be treating you as something other than sub-human which unfortunately isn't how many of these programs operate. I'd refer back to your consent agreement to see what's next, consider consulting legal representation if it's a false positive and/or if you're looking at having to go before the board. Hopefully your job will work with you. :/

Thanks. Unfortunately, it is not a false postive. I have no idea where to even apply for another job. Without my LPN license, I can't even do STNA work. Should I enroll in an STNA program?

My ETG was postive. They called and told my job that I was suspended. Suddenly, I am unemployed. And wondering what to do now?

I like how this is the de facto response on here. Lawyers aren't magicians. The OP knowingly broke their monitoring contract. What happens from here is probably outlined explicitly in the contract they signed. A lawyer is expensive when you're out of a job and they can't erase poor choices.

As vicious and unfair as these contracts can be, once they are signed they need to be adhered to. If you knowingly violate it, a lawyer can't do much.

To be completely honest, I can't help but wonder if there wasn't some kind of effort at contact between BON or program and the OP before this happened. I am the last person on the planet to be on the side of much of what any of these programs do, but I just think there's more to the story.

Regardless, It is still an awful thing to be going through.

True, an attorney can't erase poor past choices. But they could help the OP avoid making poor future choices.

But in this case, given that the OP knowingly broke their contract, I'm not sure what help a lawyer would be. Still, getting a free consult couldn't hurt.
