Dear Friends, i am a Nurse from India. I have completed my post BSC nursing degree (BSC Nursing-) after completioin of my general nursing diploma. I wish to immigrate to USA along with my husband who is already on the way to USA. Would be obliged if you kindly enlist the steps to get a Nursing job in USA. I wish to work in texas state. I assume CGNFS is the first step. Could you please tell what is the basic qualilfication for nurses in USA and the correct process to ultimately write NCLEX (can this be written from India). What are the english language tests and the score required for IELTS and TOEFL speaking or writing section. Could be add some useful links and resources that could be helpful to me to understand the entire process..... Thank you all for your help.

Start with Texas board of nursing website look for license by examination for internationally educated nurses. There is not a shortage of inexperienced nurses and a backlog of work visas. For a green card a person born in India has a 12+ year wait.
