CBT for UK NMC

Hi there. I took the exam in Jan 2015. It wasn't too bad. I borrowed a Royal Marsden Manual of clinical nursing and it was helpful. It seemed to be pretty heavy on patient safety, the code, and nothing too tricky on meds or calculation. It would be helpful to review your basic nursing skills, such as teaching a pt to use a walker or crutches. I am back in the paperwork phase with the NMC after having applied over a year ago. Hoping to get through this hoop soon. Good luck!

Thank you for the tips but would you mind sharing where can i have a copy of the royal marsden manual? I saw it on amazon and its quiet expensive.hehe. Goodluck on the paper works coz ive been thru a lot with those in the old scheme but unfortunately I wasnt able fo make it and so here I am still pushing through my UK dream:)

Hi there. Sorry have not been on here before now but hope you've found it by now. I borrowed it from a co-worker, I live in Ireland at the moment and the Irish nurses use it too. I would say amazon is about the only place to get it. The good thing is if you purchase it (though expensive) it will be useful in the future when you get registered in England and so would be worth it I think. Hope you are progressing with the process okay. I'm still in decision with my paperwork and hope to know in next month. GOod luck.
