Online BSN to FNP Programs

I've seen a few programs that are web based for NP school and wanted to get some honest feedback on what everyones' take on such programs are.

Honestly, I have my own reservations but I am not familiar with the dynamics of these programs. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine did SLU's Np program while she admitted it was expensive, it was well worth it, she is single, and I at the time had 2 other kids to put through college ( one who is at SLU getting her BSN May 2009 Go Bilikens) could not afford it for myself. Just keep an open mind, state universitys offer very well rounded programs, take your time and check out what other schools have to offer.

I am in my second semester at Felician all on line except my clinical - I have to set up my clinical with local NP's and MD's they are strong on broad education so you will learn a bit about everything.

hello i know your comment is two years ago, but I will be attending felician college. and I am curious, do they give you a list of preceptors, or do you have to look for preceptors on your own? i live in the new york/area...

how are the programs, how is the FNP program, online>??

how did you look for your clinical sites, did you google it>?

I just completed an online program in Tennessee and it is very well organized. I had to complete 720 clinical hours. I chose my clinical sites which were approved through the school. I had a great experience. So, yes online programs are great. I tried a typical "brick and mortar" program several years ago and it was the worst experience I have ever had in education.
