NP pay at NHSC sites

Hi! I'm interested to know if NP pay at all NHSC sites is low? I just got an offer for 74k but that seems pretty low for this NE area of the country. I feel like they are using the NHSC incentive to make up for it, though of course you still have to apply and be accepted into the program. Just curious if any NHSC sites are getting closer to or meeting the average NP salary for their regions.

My first position at a Nhsc site was 72,000.00. My second position with 4 years experience was 76,000.00. Yes they pay low

I took a job at an NHSC site. Started at 73,000, increased to 75,000 after 90 days, and am to increase to 80,000 after my first year. I believe this is lower than the average because another offer I had was $40.96 hourly which comes out to $85,000 per year. Technically they are not supposed to use the possibility of loan repayment as incentive to pay less but I think they do.

In my neck of the woods there is a significant disparity between the NHSC site and private practice pay.

At my NHSC approved site my pay is not based on NHSC repayment. My initial offer was in the 80k rage but I was able to negotiate a bit higher. My company used the repayment through NHSC as an incentive but they also didn't guarantee I would receive it either. I'm in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm at an NHSC site and my base is $87k which is significantly higher than the other hospitals and clinics in our area. With bonus I should make about $110-115k this year. I am in my second year of practice. My site didn't advertise the fact the position was eligible for NHSC loan repayment-I figured it out after I took the job. :)
