Financial Aid for post masters students

Hello

I am looking into doing an NP program and then doing a post masters do add on a second specialty degree. What is the financial aid like for post masters student? Are you eligible for any as one? how does it work?

The financial aid picture for post-masters (non-degree) students is not rosy owing to recent regulatory changes. Federal aid (including Stafford loans) can be applied to degree students only (DNP, PHD, MSN, etc). Some universities (including my own) provide institutional aid and scholarships only to degree students.

We do enroll post-masters students; but they are all self-paying students (or receiving support from their employers).
