im currently in an online fnp program, when did u guys/ladies start studying for boards??

I graduate in the fall and I already have started studying. I bought the Fitzgerald book and also a package of 100 question exams from the aanp-fnp.com website. A friend that just graduated use that website to study and said it was probably their most useful asset. I usually just will gloss over the Fitzgerald book when doing a section in school that relates to the study material. I've also done a couple practice exams from the website mentioned above and manage to pass them. Seeing some of these threads where people have failed multiple times gave me enough anxiety about the test to prepare as best as possible.[/quote']

Very smart. Wish I had done the same as I think it would have helped on exams and in clinical. I studied 6 weeks and felt that I was adequately prepared for the AANP..

During my last semester. We had a mock boards exam for our didactic final so I studied for that for about 2 weeks before exam. I took a few weeks off from studying after graduation, then studied an additional 5-6 weeks I believe. Good luck!
