Mar 15, 201412 yr im currently in an online fnp program, when did u guys/ladies start studying for boards??
Mar 15, 201412 yr I started reading review materials before the last semester. I am still in my last semester.
Mar 16, 201412 yr I graduate in August, but I have the Barkely CD'd and APEA Amelie's CD's that I listen to in my car on my way to/from work that I have been listening to for a while. I also have a few study guides that I read whatever correlates to what we are learning in the program. Goodluck;)
Mar 16, 201412 yr Author Thanks collie for that reply I was just wondering if it's a good idea to start before graduation
Mar 16, 201412 yr I think its a great idea to start studying before graduation, if your able to. In my case I couldn't do that because I had to study for finals, 2 major presentations, and had a thesis paper to submit. Everything was due around the same time. Good luck!
Mar 17, 201412 yr I graduated in December and didn't start studying until after graduation. I did order any study materials/books before then so I had them ready to go. I took my exam on Feb 10. Good luck with the remainder of your program and studying! ?
Mar 17, 201412 yr I graduate in the fall and I already have started studying. I bought the Fitzgerald book and also a package of 100 question exams from the aanp-fnp.com website. A friend that just graduated use that website to study and said it was probably their most useful asset. I usually just will gloss over the Fitzgerald book when doing a section in school that relates to the study material. I've also done a couple practice exams from the website mentioned above, and manage to pass them. Seeing some of these threads where people have failed multiple times gave me enough anxiety about the test to prepare as best as possible.

Wish I had done the same as I think it would have helped on exams and in clinical. I studied 6 weeks and felt that I was adequately prepared for the AANP..
