Are there any NP's with duel degrees such ans FNP and CNM. That is what I am thinking about. I want a duel degree, I think. Maybe. I know I can work in a women's clinic as a CNM and I don't have to deliver babies. I think the reason I want my FNP is too keep my options open. I know I don't want to do any other nursing but women's health. I was just wondering if here are any FNP and CNM out there.

Hello, ladylabor,

I understand what you mean, "keep my options open". I am dual cert as OB-GYN and FNP. The former was too narrow and adding the latter allowed me to be more marketable.

Do you want to be able to manage the gravida/deliver? If so, go for the dual CNM/FNP. But, if you are only interested in all aspects of women's health and not so much delivering, then I suggest WHNP/FNP.

Vandy (one example) has a dual cert program CNM/FNP as well as WHNP/ANP. And, you can always do a post-grad certificate in a specialty (which is what I did).

Good luck.
