Any desk jobs for NP's?

What are some desk jobs out there that an FNP with little RN experience could do? They don't necessarily have to be nursing-related. (For example, I know a physical therapist with a degree in business whose job is now to audit for a hospital) Do pharmaceutical companies hire NP's? As blasphemous as it may sound, I would like to eventually get out of patient care and work in front of a desk... but it seems like these jobs are very limited (admin & insurance are the only ones I know of) and the RNs/NPs with a lot of bedside experience have more advantage getting into these fields. Is this feasible or am I just talking nonsense?

'Desk jobs' are generally for those with significant clinical experience to back them up. I think you are looking for a unicorn.

But I have to ask- WHY did you become an NP if you don't like patient-facing work? No snark- truly curious.

If you want a desk job, you could look at getting a health care MBA, MHA, or MPH.

Another possibility is academia - teaching (you can do this with an MSN) and then getting PhD and doing research.
