After completing an GETP can you begin work as a Nurse Practitioner?

^^ Some of these questions depend on the major to wish you are applying. You will find the answers on your prospective schools' website. Doing your own research is the safest way to go, because there are a lot of details involved with applying to a 2nd degree MSN program, especially regarding prerequisites.

ginillel, etp is the entry-to-practice portion of the program and that takes a year. after that you'll take your nclex exam and if you pass, you'll officially be an r.n. and you'll start the np portion.

for example, our class started orientation in late may and classes started in early june. we went until early august, had 3 weeks or so off, and then started again in september -- a week off for thanksgiving and about two weeks off for christmas. then we'll have 10 weeks of class, a week off from spring break, and then we'll start integration. after that we graduate (not an official school graduation but a school of nursing "white coat ceremony") and have a week break and then start our np portion. each np program takes a different amount of time (from 1 - 2 years).
