Novant New Grad Interview Day

U.S.A. North Carolina

I'm excited to go to the new grad interview day in October for Novant. Anyone else going? Is there anyone who works for Novant who has advice for me?

I can't wait!!!

How did it go for you guys

Terrible. Not worth the trip.

For future nurses: They have tables with nurse managers from different units. You make a mad dash for the ones you want. You have about an hour and a half. I was able to see only 4 in that time. The most desired units (various ICU units, OB, and ER) have LONG lines. They don't look at your resume beforehand, so they spend most of the interview trying to read it and talk to you at the same time. If they're interested, they call you back for a second interview. I was called back for two interviews, but didn't get an offer.

I currently work for Novant. I was hired on a Med-Surg unit. The learning experience is awesome but beware. After 12 week orientation, you'll have 6 to 7 patients at all times. It can be exasperating.
