A few questions for any Watts Nursing School students:

I am in pre-reqs right now at MOC and starting clinicals/classes at Watts in August. Any advice on working while going to school? I'll be renting and living alone, nervous about loans etc. What is the typical schedule during the week? Any other words of wisdom in preparation?

The next thing you will receive is a letter from MOC stating that they have received your file from Watts. There will also be instructions on how to start your financial aid because you have to have that started before MOC can meet with you. I start in Jan and I'm meeting with them Monday so it shouldn't be too long before they're in touch with you.

I still have not finished my financial stuff no wonder I have not heard from MOC! Need to get that soon!

Have you not submitted your FAFSA? I just did mine yesterday, so hopefully I'll hear from them soon!

I have not. I hope to get it done tonite!

Hi ala and ncpony. You do not have to have your financial aid started or finished to HEAR from MOC about your appt date, but you do have to have it started to MEET with them. Sorry for the confusion.

Ncpony, have you heard anything from Watts about being accepted? Let me know! Also, I though I might start a page on FB for our class, but I have to have at least one name to add before it'll let me create the page. Let me know what you think and maybe we can become friends on FB so we can start the page :)

I have not heard from Watts but i met with MOC last week and got my pre req courses for the semester.I was so happy that alot of my courses transfered! Getting a little nervous!!! I think i FB would be great!

What did you get transferred? I'm hoping and praying that maybe I won't have to retake A&P. I took one course that was 4 or 5 credit hours with a lab and made a B. What did they tell you about bio? Or really anything else for that matter?

Hi ala, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! Well the classes that transferred were sociology, pysch, math and english. I already have my batchelors degree so i had alot of classes that transferred. I am so thankful for that!! Nursing will be my second career. They were very nice and helpful at MOC.

Hi ncpony! Yeah, I'm REALLY hoping that all of those will transfer in, except I know I will have to take math. If I'm super lucky, maybe they will accept my bio, but I doubt it. What is your bachelors degree in? I'm looking forward to getting started and meeting everyone. I wish they'd hurry up and give me my appointment with MOC. I need as much time as possible to figure out all my finances, and I've been waiting a month and a half already since I turned in my check to hold my spot! How long did you have to wait?

Hey ala, my degree is on business administration. Nothing to do with nursing. If you have not heard from moc I would contact Jennifer at watts . Do you have your bachelors too?

Ncpony, I don't have my bachelors. I have taken a TON of classes, though. I also have my CNA and EMT licenses. I'm afraid to ask too many questions for fear of making someone mad. The lady in financial aid at MOC told me it would be another two or three weeks before I would have my appointment- that seems way too long to me! I'm concerned that I won't have enough time to figure out my living expenses, etc.
