Anyone out there work at Carteret Hospital in Morehead City? I'm thinking of taking a travel position in the ER so just wondering what the place is like. Any info would be helpful.

Sorry, I don't work in Morehead.....greenville yes. we often get carteret general pt's though. If you want to be close to a beach it would be great for you; although winter is coming and it is hurricane season:)

I have worked on 3rd floor at Carteret Hospital and my mom still does. I loved the small hospital feel of it and Morehead City is a wonderful town. The hospital is some what out dated on certain things but the atmosphere was great (when i was there two years ago)everyone was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have computer charting when i left and some of the MD's were old fashioned(but in a good way) they liked you to do rounds with them but, like you know, a lot can change in two years. My mother still loves it there but she is a lab supervisor so she doesn't know much about what goes on in the units. I do know that Carteret has recently expanded their ER - maybe it will be nice!!!!
