I have posted a few threads on here explaining my situation. Not to bore you all,,,but a quick rehash...Im over 40 annd have been stuck in horrible jobs for too long.Looks like i may not win the lottery(hahah) so i have to Tim Gunn this and MAKE IT WORK

I wish to get my old butt back to school but that takes time and money and have precious little of either

I would like to get as much as i can without compromising myself online

I MAY well likely relocate to WV but thats a year or so up the road and i need to start NOW

My initial plan was either CNA or PHARM TECH as a for now job...and as im doing that,,start my pre reqs for nursing school(lpn first then to rn)

and reqs for a charlotte way to do this?CPCC maybe?i know there is queens,,,presby...mercy etc too

if you are in charlotte and see this and are in the med profession...PLEASE stop and say hi/:)

and if you have been there,,,done that,,hire people or know what to look for,,I would be more grateful than you can imagine

Thanks queen city peeps!!!

I'm near Raleigh and the CNA pay averages $10.00 where you are it was posted at $13.00+ $ Good Luck!

Hi, ex-Charlottean here but have returned to my Salisbury roots LOL. I'm also 40 and going for nursing as a 2nd career. It sounds like our plans are similar. I'm keeping my full-time job for the time being, and while keeping it I'm also taking my cna class. I'll finish in March and will seek a p/t (hopefully 1 shift/week) job as a cna I. At the same time I'll start taking the CNA II class and should finish it around the middle of August. I also start A&P I at RCCC in January, will take A&P II this Summer, and Micro in the Fall. It will take me a while to do the pre-reqs because I need to keep my FT job.
