After spending a few clinical days at Mission, I've decided that I need to get some experience working in a hospital environment...and I'm also completely fed up with my current job. I'm a CNA with about two years experience in SNF/LTC and I am ready to move on.

Does anybody know much about Highlands-Cashiers Hospital in Highlands, NC? What the pay rates are for CNA's and also for RN's (this might be a possible place to work as a new grad nurse.) I am really interested in working in rural nursing after graduation. Internet searches for HCH have not yielded much in the way of answers and anything all of you NC nurses could tell me would be really appreciated!

I currently work at Mission Hospital. I have a coworker who used to work at the hospital in Highlands. She said she liked it but its so small that she was constantly getting flexed off, put on call, and laid off. I would imagine that might be a problem at such a small, secluded hospital.
