Graduating LPN ~ Who's hiring/paying?

I graduate from my LPN class on Thursday, 10/30/14 and trying to get my ducks in a row before I take my NCLEX in a few weeks. Does anyone now who's hiring out here in the Charlotte area and what the pay is for a new grad?? Also, does anyone now how to get connected with the local correctional facilities for an LPN position? I'm also returning to school in January and am oen to any prn positions you ma suggest.

Check any of the Novant facilities - I work at one (but not in Charlotte) and we use team nursing and hire LPNs. I'm betting other Novant hospitals do the same thing.

Have you found a job yet I'm your area? Was really hard to get hired at a LPN?

Sorry for the late reply Candy. I initially thought it was hard finding a job. I passed my nclex in December and i guess that's what made it hard for me. The whole month of December and the beginning of January i applied EVERYWHERE and started thinking something was wrong with me or my resume. And wouldn't you know I interviewed with Novant, was offered a position and then the very next day 3 facilities called for an interview and then 3 more called this week.

So i ended up taking 2 positions with 2 different facilities and turned down novant since the pay was so low with them. All turned out good with GREAT PAY for a new lpn
