This is a discussion on Fayetteville in North Carolina Nursing, part of United States Nursing ... Are there any nurses working in this area of NC? If so how do you like the area and what hospitals...
by szccdw Jan 4, '04Are there any nurses working in this area of NC? If so how do you like the area and what hospitals would you recommend? I will be graduating in December and was looking at moving to either Houston, TX or Charlotte, NC. I have a few relatives that recently moved to the Fayetteville area and it seems the cost of living there is really cheap. Any information anyone could give would be very helpful. Thank you.

I loved living in North Carolina, but I would never choose Fayetteville unless I was military. I would choose Carey area.

Rent and mortgage however can be pretty steep, if you focus on the better communities/subdivisions. Nursing jobs are available. Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is a pretty good place to work. They are always hiring. I worked at the Rehab center there. Pretty good job and staff to work with. Left approx. 5 months ago due to child care and family issues. But, they try to work with you. They need you. Visit their website at capefearcareers.com. See what they have out there. Are there any nurses working in this area of NC?
