Cary?

U.S.A. North Carolina

Published

I currently live in PA and have been seriously considering calling NC my home shortly after I graduate from my RN program. I am married and have 2 young kids. It seems that Cary is a very nice place to raise a family. Can anyone tell me more?

What about Holly Springs? Housing seems lower here and they are not having all of the issues with year round schools. If anyone knows anything about these areas please assist. THANKS :)

Cary is a very nice city. It is continually ranked among the top safest cities in the US. Real estate is a bit high and traffic can get pretty bad, but schools are good and there is plenty of shopping and things to do nearby. There is also a regional hospital associated with WakeMed located in Cary.

Holly Springs is nice too, not as crowded as Cary but it is growing rapidly. Housing is more affordable, the crime rate is a bit higher.

Have you considered North Raleigh too? Having lived in various parts of the area for 10 years, I still think that North Raleigh is a great place too.

I live in Granville County. Which is north of North Raleigh. Slower pace here. Housing much cheaper. And I can be in Raleigh in about 45 min. Durham in 30 min.

I have many freinds that live in Cary, North Raleigh & Holly Springs. They each love their own area . Most of us work for the State of NC where nursing jobs are plentiful.

Best of Luck!!!!

Hi, I live in NC too. Beautiful state. Weather is nice, people very friendly and lots to do. You have the beach on one side and the mountains on the other. The only downside of this state is that the pay is not too good. Seems to be a state wide problem.:o

Thanks for the responses. I can't wait to take a trip down and have a look around. I think I will know "home" when I see it. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the Raliegh area in general.
