Accredited V.S. Non-Accredited

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hello everyone. I'm starting out at the bottom. I'm currently in a CNA1 program for the summer semester at my local community college. I was thinking about going for my CNA2 as well, once I am eligible. After that, I wanted to start my prerequisites for nursing school. I just learned that my local community college isn't accredited in the Nursing Program they offer (ADN Program). My question is, what are the differences between the two (Accredited vs Non-Accredited)? I'd prefer to get the best education that I can get if I qualify. Could you give me any pro's and con's?

Note: I was thinking of working full time and going to school part time for my prerequisites but IF I am accepted into a nursing program, I'd work minimum part time and full time nursing (I think that's required anyway).

Thank you for reading.
