Hey,

So I am planning to move to San Diego and am looking for a NICU job. I right now work at a level IV NICU and would like to stay with similar acuity. I am open to float positions and have even thought about doing traveling in the San Diego area. I have heard Rady Children's nickname is "Shady Children's" and that its not a good company to work for. I am curious what hospitals anyone would recommend and what their NICUs are like. Also, for curiosity I am curious about the pay and cost of living for those living and working in the San Diego area. THANK YOU!!!

Specializes in NICU, Infection Control.

Just supposing I worked @ Rady, and just supposing I happened to be in a position to say yay or nay on new hires, and just supposing I LIKED Rady and didn't take too kindly to anyone bad mouthing my workplace...

What do you think I would think about your "poll" and you calling my hospital "shady"?

I don't to any of the above, but just suggesting you might want to consider the possibilities??

All good points and thank you for making me aware. I tried to not do a poll but I couldnt figure out how to get rid of it. I also tried to edit this poll or delete it and I couldnt figure that out either. Obviously I am new to this site.

Thank you!

I hear great things about UCSD and you can't beat UC benefits! If you're so concerned about the reputation of one hospital why not look elsewhere? UCSD has opennings quite frequently thoughout the year it seems. I also hear good things about Sharp.
