Stony Brook Accelerated BSN class of 2013

U.S.A. New York

Hey all! Just wanted to lend my support to anyone else who is applying to SB next summer! It's a grueling process :-)):yeah:

BioD- I've had work or school for the past 3 days during their business hours, so if I have time tomorrow before class I am going to go pay it, and if not tomorrow, definitley Friday! How about you? I was accepted to Molloy yesterday, with a scholarship, so Stony Brook is the only school whose decision I haven't heard yet.

Congrats Dollface!! A full ride to Malloy!? I am going to pay it this morning after my bio class and sign up for classes, what else am I to do yanno

I heard it takes 3 years at malloy is tht true?

BioD- I didn't get a full scholarship, just a partial. And I think it takes 2.5-3 years. I know they have an inflexible way of allowing you to make your schedule that makes the program longer than 2 years, and even with the scholarship, tuition there is SO expensive, that going to Farmingdale would cost only a fraction of the price for the same amount of time, so I may as well go SUNY! All this will be easier once SBU sends out their decisions haha. We have no choice but to pay the deposits elsewhere til we find out our fate!

I know!! It's so stressful! Did you apply for the associate or bachelor program at farmingdale? When I went to farmingdale they told me transfer students could not enter the bachelor program..which is why I only applied for Suffolk..and I didn't apply for Malloy because it's like 11,000 a semester..crazy!!

I applied for the Associate Program (I have a BA already as well and was told the same thing) But when I took the PAX, I was told they may be starting an accelerated program for students with BAs and that in January students who are in the associate program with a degree already will be given the opportunity to join that program and get a BSN in 3 years. Even though it would take me 3 years, I would rather do that than go to Suffolk to get an ADN and then have to do an RN to BSN program, which would mean even more time, even more money! Getting it done in one shot will be the most beneficial for me, so if I can't do it at Stony Brook, I will be doing it at Farmingdale, just for an additional year. :nurse:

I really don't want to wait anymore!!!! So frustrating!

I know me either!! We won't find out this week or next..they wouldn't of debt that email if they were close to decisions..

CHECK SOLAR IVE BEEN ACCEPTED!!!! JUST GOT THE EMAIL! RN TO BSN HERE I COME!!!!:yeah::yeah:

congrats NCCRNgrad :)

I just checked solar and I still didn't get any notifications :(

the last email that I received states that they will release their decisions mid-May so I guess I'll have to wait until then

I didn't get an email? Wait rn to bsn or the basic program
