hi girl i'm currently an RN elsewhere in the city but PICU has always been my dream as well. I'm scheduled for the initial phone interview next week but was wondering (not sure how to message on this website, I just made my username) if you could inbox me as well and fill me in on the type of questions I can expect to be asked by them as well! Thanks so much!

Hi I was given a verbal offer at Nyp cornell for L&D. HR Called me to give me the great news and also told me ill call you back to come in to sign the written offer letter but have to first check your references. How long did it take you to hear from the after the verbal offer?

I hope someone can help me out here. I applied at NYP online, got an email to complete the nursing career battery and then received an email the next day for a phone interview which I did last Thursday with a recruiter. She just asked me why NYP, my experience, etc. She said there was an opening on a unit that I did not apply for but I didn't mind. I just want to get work in the city! Then she said I would be hearing back via email or phone within 2 weeks the next step. Saturday I got a generic-sounding email from another recruiter saying they they will review my resume and get back to me with a formal interview. This is the same thing the recruiter who interviewed me on the phone said. For me, this email sounds like my chances got slim at the end of the email it said "we wish you best of luck with your job search." Maybe I'm reading too much into it but to me it sounded like a subtle way that they will put my resume in the back burner.

Btw, I only have an Associates Degree with 1.5 Med/Surg experience. Shocked my application was submitted! Usually my application does not even pass the pre-employment questions (Do you have your BSN? 1 year experience, etc.)

So all you ADN's out there....THERE IS HOPE!

In some instances the BSN thing is rather fluid, especially for ADN nurses with experience. Being as that may don't be surprised upon hire sooner or later being *asked* about going for your four year nursing degree.

Keep on keeping on and good luck!

I ended up not getting an interview One of the recruiters sent me an email

Would it be smart to reply back to the recruiter and ask for other openings that I might have a chance?
