North Shore -LIJ critical care fellowship

Has anybody applied to the North Shore-LIJ critical care fellowship? If so, how did you apply because I'm having trouble applying online because there are no postings. Just wondering how I can start the process. Thanks for your time, I would really appreciate any help.

Hey, don't count yourself out just yet!! At my meeting with the Director of the program she indicated that there is a STRONG possibility of a September fellowship. It is based on need and from what I understand some of the units may be expanding. Now, to answer your questions:

I applied (online application) during the last week of January and was called back the same day and set up an interview for the following week. As far as I understand you do need a BSN and I don't know of any GPA requirements but I will say that my GPA is above a 3.5 so I'm sure that helped. They also require 2 letters of recommendations and I don't have any externship experience so it must not be a requirement. Also, the program is open to new grads as well as experienced RNs who want to transition into a critical care area so I don't think having experience will disqualify you. And good luck to you! Are you part of the cohort that will be working at Manhasset? I heard they only accepted 7 people for the fellowship to work at Lenox Hill in the future.....

College Transcripts

Anything else? How many interviews?

Hey, just wanted to ask you when you started applying and how did you apply for it? online application? and did you have to e-mail a specific recruiter for an interview?

thanks!! i'm a bit nervous i started applying in august...i believe i applied for the fellowship specifically the second week of august. I applied online and no i didn't email anyone, but if you can email a recruiter there's no harm in that! i'm being interviewed for the October fellowship at LIJ.
