Hi, for those who have landed an interview and a position at New York Methodist Hospital as a new RN grad, how did you get yourself in the door? any recommendations? I have been volunteering there for >6 months, however have never had the luck to have any of my clinicals at this hospital, I even went to HR in person to drop off my resume and was able to sit down and speak with one of the recruiters, who gave me the email address of another recruiter that she knew was hiring new grads, however I have yet to hear back from any of them. NYM is one of the hospitals I really want to work for. Should I call HR to follow up and ask them regarding my application, or should I network more with nurses on my floor and ask them to specifically refer me or talk to the nurse manager, I've never really had the chance to speak to the nurse manager as a volunteer? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
