2 weeks ago I got an acceptance letter saying I was accepted in The RN Pathway Program at Hunter, then I get in email today that this was an error, but I'm accepted into the regular school of art's and sciences (which I obviously didn't even apply to). Is this even legal? I'm reminded of the movie Admissions, where the is mistakenly accepted and the dean says they can't take back an acceptance. I know a similar thing happened at Vassar recently but that was over a span of 3 hours, the students were informed within a few hours. How is it that it took an entire 2 weeks to realize this mistake. In the mean time, I applied for housing and mailed a $100.00 check to save my spot. This seems weird to me, not to mention the dissapointment. Any ideas about the legal ramifications here?
