Hi guys, what should I choose, go for another job or displined?

I was so frustrated, I am new grad in Nursing home, and just worked on my own for 1 week. I had an issue with a dr., only him, not the other doctors. I paged him, and when he called me back, he didn't say something clearly, so I asked him what was that, and he said I didn't know my things and asked who was my supervisor, but finally we got through this issue and I wrote down his orders. But unfornately, the day after, I had to talk to him again, he said something I can not hear it clearly, I asked for him to say it again, but he said want to talk to my supervisor.. Later on, he wrote down a complained statement to nurse director. The nurse director called me down to the Human Resource and the director give me choices, either find another job or got displined. Honestly, though I am not a confident person and new on the floor, but I don't think this little thing could lead to such a serious consequence. I said I'd like to get displined and the director said they will call me tomorrow(I supposed to be off tommorrow) after she talked to the corporate. When I drove back home, I still in shock and can not understand this.

Could someone help me about this displined thing, and how you handle if you had that kind situation?
