does asn/bsn matter for jobs

U.S.A. New York

I'm new to this board and have just started taking pre-req's to get into a program. I already have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and am currently taking a&pI and chem.

I've read a lot on this forum about the differences betwee asn/bsn, but haven't read much about how the hospitals feel about each. Is it easier to get a job with a bsn? Is it impossible to get one with just a ASN? I'm talking Long Island/Metro NY here. I am doing a career change and am trying to decide if I should apply to just BSN programs or both. Any info is appreciated.
