Brockport BSN students?!

U.S.A. New York

So excited to be starting the accelerated BSN program at Brockport in May!!!I would love to hear from current BSN students... I'm anxiously awaiting more info from admissions and the nursing department as I know virtually nothing about the program aside from that I've been accepted. They have the course sequence posted for the accelerated program, but that's it... Still waiting on the orientation dates and other registration info : )

jseg,

I'm looking into applying for U of R just in case but it's crazy expensive as you said.. Any other options you see? Maybe UB or Binghamton, but there are extra classes to take.. I have a 3.5 gpa undergrad and all A's in my sciences. just need to take Micro in the spring.. many years Healthcare Admin experience.

I havent looked into UB or Binghamton. The only 2 schools near me that have the accelerated program are Brockport & University of Rochester. I have a toddler so I cant really re-locate for school, if you can re-locate you're lucky! That means you have more options than me. UB does has more pre-reqs. Brockport only has 1 more pre-req than University of Rochester, the chemistry. My only options are Brockport & University of Rochester. I was accepted at University of Rochester but declined the offer due to the 60K in tuition. I couldnt get myself to take out that many add't loans for a Bachelor's degree (on top of the loans I already have). I'm honored they accepted me, but after looking at the finances I had to decline, I now literally have ALL my eggs in 1 basket= Brockport. If they don't accept me, I don't know what I'm going to do :nailbiting:

Based off your stats it sounds like you are in a good position to get into most schools, although I dont know how exactly they pick candidates. I heard Brockport is strickly on GPA? I have a Masters degree w a 3.85 GPA, also all As in sciences, but my undergrad GPA wasnt nearly as close as my Masters .... I am just praying they look more at my Masters GPA than undergrad.

Try to apply to UB, I got my Masters in Buffalo but really dont feel like doing the drive again thats why I didnt apply there. Well that, and the extra pre-reqs haha.

Shell516 , have you heard anything back? I still haven't but someone on another post said they emailed her that she was accepted and she'd get the official letter of acceptance in the next 2 weeks. That scares me because I didn't get a email. I am hoping they just emailed her because she was in constant contact with the head of the department (she said she was in constant email contact with her).
